Get Started

Being careful and sensitive to others is a wonderful aspect of who you are. Also focus on coming to conclusions and taking action. Sometimes the best thing to do is to just get started.

Face Challenges

Challenges are inevitable. Have an attitude of being proactive in addressing issues. It can be better to handle issues before they escalate.

Ask for Help

Rather than trying to figure out everything by yourself, get some help. Team up with someone who you trust, and you are likely to get better results.

Be Expressive

Do people the favor of speaking up and being heard. Be expressive and willing to convey your feelings. You have many good thoughts and perspectives, so be encouraged to share with passion and conviction.

The "DISC" Model of Human Behavior

There are two predictable tendencies of behavior that are part of our basic DISC personality style as shown in the diagram below.

The 2 tendencies can be combined to create 4 quadrants which represent the four main personality styles. We refer to these personality types by the letters, "D," "I," "S" and "C." We use descriptive words for each of the DISC personality styles to help understand each type as you will see below. "D" stands for the DOMINANT Type which is Outgoing and Task-Oriented. "I" stands for the Inspiring Type which is Outgoing and People-Oriented. "S" stands for the Supportive Type which is Reserved and People-Oriented. "C" stands for the Cautious Type which is Reserved and Task-Oriented.

Remember: Each person has a blend of ALL four personality traits to a greater or lesser extent.
